The S.J.M.V.S.'s Arts and Commerce College for Women,Hubli was
established in 1967 under the benevolent guidance of His Holiness late Shrimanmaharaj Niranjan Jagadguru Dr.Gangadhar Rajayogeendra Mahaswamiji of Moorusavirmath,Hubli. At present it is guided by His Holiness Shriman Maharaj Niranjan Jagadguru Shree Gurusiddha Rajayogeendra Mahaswamiji of Moorusavirmath,Hubli.

It is full fledged Arts and Commerce College accreditated at A level by NAACON may 2004 of applaudable service. It is dedicated exclusively for the cause of women's education, with the motto of molding young women by providing a holistic education. It is one of the oldest institutions with a large number of students representing different communities having a rural background. The college is affiliated to the Karnataka State Women's University, Bijapur and is run under the aegis of the Shri Jagadguru Moorusavirmath Vidyavardhak Sangha.

The College is situated in the heart of the city, near railway station easily accessible to all transport links. It has a three stored building with an excellent, well trained teaching and administrative staff, headed by the Principal, Prof.Shobha B.Hittalmani. It provides very good facilities and amenities to the students. The environment at this institution is different from other institutions as our intentions to cater not only to academic excellence but also to provide value based education.
